partials

Sorry I'm getting to this late, but I just got back from camp myself....
Partials do not "expire"-- a kid has until he's 18 to complete a started MB
Fishing is two different fish... so you're not catching the same ANIMAl, not
the same KIND of fish. The camp director or program director ought to have
been able to sign off on "late" fish. if not... well, we all do our best, and
sometimes we fail. Good example to kid about being mellow in the face of
others' failure. Catch a bass and move on...
I teach the First Aid MB (and a bunch of others) and have taught CPR for years
(also a nurse). You can do CPR for free or a very nominal cost thru your local
Fire Dept, who probably offers a CPR course for laymen every now and then, or
would be happy to send somebody to a Scout meeting and train everybody.. the
card then becomes documentation of successful completion of this req. You can
also call your local hospital and ask to speak to the nursing staff
development office, and explain that you need a CPR certification. He/She
will be happy to help you, also for minimal/no cost.
But be aware that a MB counselor is within his/her rights to ask for a
DEMONSTRATION to be sure the kid has retained said knowledge obtained
elsewhere.
Good luck
