Unfortunately, you are probably correct in this statement. Where we
differ is that I think a lot of good can be accomplished in the ordeal,
but I can't think of a good reason to use push-ups as a punishment. OK,
they burn off some energy, but your program should allow for that
anyway. I don't buy the fitness argument; surely you don't administer
them often enough to qualify as a training regimen?
