I think it really depends on the Scout.......for some, a chance to *show
off* is no problem.....they could sing in front of the Troop for hours
and not be bothered.........but for others, it would definitely be
uncomfortable and might feel like a punishment, then I would consider it
hazing..........I think it is important to consider each boy's feelings
at the time............and then again, how about if you allowed the
uncomnfortable ones to have a buddy sing with them?.......or let them
tell a joke?......or maybe show a skill like tie a knot?...........or do
something of their choosing that didn't make them quite so
uncomfortable...
