Regarding Trailers

I have been reading where a lot of people are saying
that the trailer is covered by whoever is towing the
trailer. This is true to a certin extent. In Michigan
anyway, where I have worked in insurance for 6.5 years,
only liability extends from the towing vehical, If you
are wanting physical damage covered you will need to
take out insurance.
As far as storing, liability comes from the owners
of the trailers homeowners policy, again if physical
damage coverage is wanted you have to have a seperate
policy.
