Things are also quite a bit different if your GPS fails for whatever
reason...remember, electronic devices ARE susceptible to failure...the
batteries could leak inside the thing, rendering it useless until
serviced...you could drop it too hard and break it...there's really no
excuse to NOT have a paper map in your pack along with everything
else. After all, how much space does a map take?
