Robert,
I forgot to mention that there is nothing saying all five qualifying shots
have to be on the same sheet. There are two reasons for this:
1) It gives a challenge to all scouts trying to earn the badge - whether or
not they are experienced with a rifle.
2) It forces the scout to exercise range and firearm safety for more than just
the five shots needed. It is a "secret tactic" if you will, to try to force a
sense of gun safety into the scout while he is exercising these principles
over and over.
