Scouts Calling Home From Camp

Hello All,
There has been a recent discussion of homesick Scouts and not allowing
Scouts to call home. I could see the merits of this until today.
What about Scoutsick moms??? My son is at camp this week and I am
really missing him. I would love to get a call from him just to hear
his voice and be assured that he is still there and has at least one
spot on him that doesn't have a mosquito bite.
I would love to go to family night, but if you saw my pile of papers I
call a desk, you would know that is impossible.
Personally, I think all Scouts should be REQUIRED to call home at least
once!!!!
Next year, with both boys finally up in Boy Scouts, I will be going to
camp with them. I can think of nothing better than sitting in a lawn
chair on the bank of a river with a fishing pole in my hand for a week.
I also plan on taking the adult water front activities to renew my
lifesaving stuff.
Any thoughts on my ideas about the call home???
