"POSTSCRIPTS" ARTICLE: NORTHEAST REGION CANIDATE
Gavin Svenson, who lives in Bemus Point, New York, is the candidate from
the
Northeast Region. He is registered with Post 137.
He is an Explorer and Boy Scout who earned the rank of Eagle. He also is
a
member of the Order of the Arrow, worked as a Youth Staff Aide at the
1997
National Jamboree, and served as the first President of his council
Explorer
Officers Association.
Gavin is active in sports, having been on the Cross Country Team and
Track and
Field Team. A member of the National Honor Society, he also participates
in
the Science Club, Drama Club, and French Club. He also is active with his
county environmental programs and plans to continue by studying
Biological
Life Sciences in College.
