Here is one for the hopper (or is that gipper) .

Terror in the Castle
(a literal skit)
Characters: =20
Narrator, usher, two curtains, 4 castle walls, # of hours, sun,=20
princess, wall, sorcerer, royal celebrity, sun, night=20
Props: =20
Script, signs (usher, curtain x2, sun, night, castle wall x4),=20
cord, pitcher, musical note cut outs, beater/whip,=20
large balloon (to pop), large stick,=20
PayDay king size, banana, tricycle horn, bugle,=20
salt shakers, match box & match, bag of leaves,=20
SCRIPT: read by narrator with actors pantomiming at appropriate queues.

The usher pulls the cord (usher walks across stage pulling rope)
And the curtains are parted as the play begins=20
(2 curtains sidestep slowly to opposite sides)

It was early morning and the sun rose (Sun stands up, slowly)
A beautiful young princess sat outside the castle walls studying for a math
test.

She studied her notes (pull out musical note cut-outs)
In hopes of the best grade she poured over her notes=20
(pours a pitcher of water over notes).

And she was anxious to whip them into shape.=20
(Whips musical notes with whip or egg beater).
Suddenly, she hears a strange noise (someone offstage makes a weird noise).

To see who or what was interfering with her study, =20
She flew to the left (makes motion of flying)=20
And she flew to the right (ditto)=20
All of the sudden, a large figure burst beside her (from offstage someone
holds
out BIG balloon & pops it).

Appearing was the meanest Sorcerer you ever did see=20
(narrator queues audience to boo).
The Sorcerer crosses the floor once (makes X on ground with big stick)
He crosses the floor twice (ditto)
And now as the meanest of all Sorcerers he dares to cross the floor again=20
(ditto, while pantomiming =93nah nah nah nah nah=94)

The mean Sorcerer shouts - This is a stick up=20
(holds stick up high & smiles, points with other hand)
The Sorcerer continues - I know <insert leaders name & title> has lots of
money
and I am going to hold you captive until payday=20
(Sorcerer holds up PayDay candy bar) (narrator queues audience to boo)

The Princess cries, - Oh, mean Sorcerer, I must a-peel to you=20
(Kneels down, pulls out banana & peels it before him)
The Sorcerer retorts (after plucking banana & eating it)=20

and sneers - Ha Ha Princess, Your appeal is fruitless.
We must wait for my payday (Sorcerer holds up PayDay candy bar).
(narrator queues audience to boo)

As they wait, many hours pass oh so slowly=20
(as group or one at a time hours sidestep across stage)

To our amazement, we hear the courtly sound of the royal trumpets=20
(two honks on tricycle horn)

(narrator - pantomimes being non-plussed & turns toward back stage & Louder
says)

To =85 our=85 amazement, We hear the COURTLY sound of the royal trumpet=
announcing
the arrival of <insert leaders name & title> to save our fair Princess=20
(bugle plays offstage)

Our princess cries - Oh my lord please save me from the wretched Sorcerer. =
=20
( as the Royal leader walks in grandly, when still give final toot-toot from=
=20
bicycle horn).=20
At once the Royal leader starts to assault the wicked Sorcerer (go through
lively duel shaking salt shakers at one another)

Finally we see the Sorcerer willing to give up the match =20
(signals halt with hand, pulls matchbox from pocket, & hands match to royal
leader)=20
The Sorcerer sorrowfully leaves the castle (sprinkles tree leaves as
grudgingly
exits)
(narrator queues audience to cheer)

So we find our fair Princess safe again with the Royal leader,=20
and the hours pass (as group or one at a time hours sidestep across stage)
the Sun sets (sun sits down)
Night falls (night appears on stage & falls forward)
The Usher pulls the cord (usher walks across stage pulling rope)
The Curtains close (curtains sidestep slowly to center)

And our play has ended.
