Scouter's Journal

Kevin Pate (kevinpate@YAHOO.COM)

Omykidsmom@AOL.COM and rbishopp@EZNET.NET recently wrote re Scouter's
Journal. My .02 on this:

Last, and first issue, I received was my trial
issue (the one with the computer graphic cover and internet primer
inside.)

Since then, I have subscribed, received the freebie
whistle, received the "for father's day purchase" of
the four existing back issues (love them covers even more than the
content, and the content was great) and a
recruitment package consisting of two copies of the internet issue and
a bunch of signup cards. When I sent an e-mail politely suggesting
that two copies of the mag were insufficient to effectively show to a
group of 50+ persons, I received a nice e-mail explaining why they
only sent two copies (they are trying to run a business after all).
And, they did send an extra copy or two, which will come in handy for
doing a promo for them.

But, I also have not seen a new issue, yet, though
my understanding was they would now publish 6 times a year, which I
took to mean bi-monthly.

I'm holding faith that the bugs are out of their process and my money
did not take a powder. If by chance it did, I've wasted more money on
worse goals
so I will live through it.

Sure hope things are getting on track. I loved the internet issue and
once I move from "hoping to being sure" I will get what I order, they
have a number of t-shirts, books, and other items, that seem destined
to move from their storerooms to my closet.

OK, so that was a full nickle worth. Sorry.

Where oh where has my tag line gone?
