When I was a scout in the troop, we used bamboo to put up a signal =
tower. You are right about roughing up the surfaces where they will =
make contact with each other. If you plan on using the bamboo over and =
over you also want to make sure you protect it from termites. That is =
what caused us to have to get rid of our bamboo.
