Anthony Mako has some some good points about dealing with homesickness.
My first experience dealing with it as a leader was greatly eased by
these helpful tips. One of the best (short) articles I've seen on
treatment and prevention was written years ago in the Canyon Camp (IL)
Leaders Guide and reprinted each year since. The author, Fr. Francis
Schwartz has helped thousands of Scouts and leaders over a 20+ year
period.
If anyone would like a copy, reprinted with permission of the Blackhawk
Area Council (Rockford IL) please e-mail me privately.
