Shortly after our last discussion here on Scouts-L, "Big" Ed Henderson
created a nice patch and made it available through SCOUTER. I believe they
cost about a dollar and a half each; post him at BigEd@Scouter.com or go to
www.scouter.com and take a look at the online catalog and get one.
Remember, the patch is NOT OFFICIAL, and you may have to get your local
Council Scout Executive to "bless it" before you wear it all over town.
So far, however, the patches have been *very well received* by local
Councils and I haven't heard of a SINGLE instance whereby the CE/SE said
"take that off, please....it's not official".
Again, the patch is NOT OFFICIAL. If you have any qualms with that, I would
suggest wearing it centered on the right pocket as a tempoary patch.
It's a nice design, considering that it's not an official BSA patch and
considering that I still think the border color should be dark blue as
opposed to yellow, to correspond with the other "special position patches"
(Chaplain, Chaplain Aid, Physician, Reserve) that could be worn by unit,
District, Council, and National Scouters, I still recommend it.
