If you have ANY concern, I would PASS and move on, Jan. It's not worth the
time (and the potential harm) this "Life and Eagle Scout" (either he's a
Life Scout or an Eagle Scout; not *both*) may have with your Den.
Ask instead if he can help out during Pack Meetings or other meetings where
other adults are present and can observe this person's behavior. If things
go well, and he fits in with your Pack and the way "things are going", then
and only then would I invite him to complete an application and go though
the process of getting him to serve.
