Four New Eagle Scouts

I am pleased to announce that four Scouts in our troop completed their
Eagle Boards of Review on Tuesday, May 26. All four are former Webelos
Scouts and recipients fo the Arrow of Light Award. Our four new Eagles
are:
CREIGHTON WELCH is a 3rd generation Eagle as his father and grandfather
are Eagle Scouts. Creighton, age 14, recently completed the 8th grade
at Tippit Middle School. He is a member of Riverbend Church in Austin.
His summer camp adventures included trips to Camp Constantin, Camp
Cherokee, the San Isabel Scout Ranch in Colorado, the Pirtle Scout
Reservation and Camp Ottari in Virginia. On his Trail to Eagle,
Creighton earned 40 merit badges, recorded 85 days/nights of camping,
scored 99% on uniform inspections, provided 113 service hours and
attended 86% of our troop meetings. He is a Brotherhood member of the
Order of the Arrow. His posistions of responsibility included
Quartermaster, Patrol Leader, Troop Guide and Den Chief. Creighton's
Eagle Serive Project consisted of sanding and painting 50 picnic tables

GRANT MYRICK, age 15, recently completed his freshman year at Georgetown
High School. His brother is also a Troop 405 Eagle Scout. Grant is a
member of Crestview Baptist Church. His summer camp adventures included
trips to the Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch, Camp Constantin, Camp Cherokee
and the Pirtle Scout Reservation. Grant's high adventure trips included
a backpacking and whitewater rafting trip at the Packard High Adventure
Base in Colorado, a Philmont expedition and the Mountain Man Outpost
Program at Camp Ottari in Virginia. On his Trail to Eagle, Grant earned
44 merit badges, recorded 121 days/nights of camping, scored 97% on
uniform inspections, provided 226 service hours and attended 97% of our
troop meetings. He is an Ordeal member of the Order of the Arrow. His
positions of responsiblitiy included Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol
Leader and Instructor. Grant's Eagle Project consisted of constructing a
sand volleyball court at Crestview Baptist Church. Messages of

CHRISTOPHER ZELASKO, age 14, recently completed the 8th grade at Tippit
Middle School. Two of his cousins earned the Eagle Award with our troop
seven years ago. Chris is a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. His
summer camp adventures included trips to Camp Constantin, Camp Cherokee,
the San Isabel Scout Ranch in Colorado and the Pirtle Scout Reservation.
On his Trail to Eagle, Chris earned 35 merit badges, recorded 81
days/nights of camping, scored 98% on uniform inspections, provided 77
serice hours and attended 86% of our troop meetings. He is a
Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow. Chris' positions of
responsibility included Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader and Troop
Guide. His Eagle Service Project was constructing a sand volleyball

JON KUCHAR, age 14, recently completed the 8th grade at Benold Middle
School. His father is an Eagle Scout. Jon is a member of Grace Bible
Church. His summer camp adventures included trips to Camp Cherokee and
the Pirtle Scout Reservation. On his Trail to Eagle, Jon earned 30
merit bages, recorded 60 days/nights of camping, scored 98% on uniform
inspections, provided 91 service hours and attended 85% of our troop
meetings. He is an Ordeal member of the Order of the Arrow. Jon's
positions of responsibility included Patrol Leader and Den Chief. His
Eagle Service Project consisted of sanding and painting a large gazebo

In June, Creighton, Grant and Chris will participate in a Horse
Cavalcade at Philmont while Jon will attend summer camp with our troop
at the Lost Pines Scout Reservation. In July, Creighton and Grant will
take part in a trip to the Laguna Station, a high adventure base in
south Texas similar to the Florida Sea Base.
