Question for those on the list knowledgeable on flag etiquette. Seems to
me- many years ago- the flag was flown at half staff until noon on
Memorial
Day- to honor our fallen service members. Around here in Lafayette- sad
to
say- I didn't see too many flags flying yesterday- ours was the only one
on
the block- except one guy with a flag pole who flies it everyday. The
flag
on the pole at our nearby fire station was at full staff around 9-ish.
Can
anyone help me out on Memorial Day flag etiquette? Also- if anyone has
access to the president's proclamation on Memorial Day- does it specify
anything about the flag?
Thanks.
