Steve,
Let me tell you a story. When the program changed to one year WEBELOS
with colors activity badges and all, we still had Lions. The den I took
had
been together since Bobcat. I started with 10 boys lots of parent help
and a meeting every Sat. at noon. I worked graveyard got up mid of my
sleep
and had a den meeting. Had one boy who was older and along with his Mom
I agreed to move him into our troop. His brother before him had been a
scout.
He did not stay with the troop. I asked him later why he left
scouting? He
told me he missed his friends in the den. To do it again I would have
kept
him in the den.
The thing you have is the boy is having fun and is connected with the
boys in
the den. Isn't that is what it all about? We don't have to move people
away
from their friends if they don't want to move.
