Re: Tiger held back in school

Beth,
Last night a mom called asking that her son advance with the rest of the
> boys.

I think this Mom is right and her son should and must advance with the
rest of his Den. Cub Scouts is an age based program. It may also cause
this young man a certain degree of humiliation within the Pack if he has to
repeat the Tiger program again. I am sure he is suffering enough of that
already. If you think there will be a problem with his lack of maturity
disrupting the meetings have the Parent continue to attend meetings
with him. I have a Wolf in one of my Dens that has his Grandma attend
with him every week and this has worked out well. We have also had this
exact problem in our Pack a few years back and the young man had no
problems advancing with the support of his Parents and Leaders.

Good Luck!!
and
Happy Scouting!!!
