I sure agree with this statement. As a District Commissioner, I have seen a
lot of units resist female SAs for various reasons, but it always boils down
to the male adults that are uncomfortable with it, not the boys. If the unit
has a good boy run troop then it makes no difference what gender the leaders
are that out there to guide the boys and look out for their health and
welfare. We have a number of female SAs in our council and I am pround to say
a few good female SMs.
Sounds to me like the same people that would argue against female SAs would
also argue against female participation in Wood Badge. Obviously these people
have not learned about using all their available resources!
It's time to get with the program.
