AHHHHHHH!
Listen carefully everyone... What part of being an Assistant Scoutmaster, or
Scoutmaster, requires use of a penis? If you answer anything but NONE - its
time for Youth Protection Training!
Any Scoutmaster who says he doesn't want female SA's, or tries to hide behind
"the boys don't want women on campouts," needs just a bit more training. First,
BSA policy is quite clear on female leaders. Second, what kind of example are
we setting if we allow these ancient stereotypes to flourish in the troop.
Boys are in Scouting to learn, among other things, good citizenship. Allowing
this travesty to stand is only teaching them that it is OK to discriminate on
the basis of gender. I wouldn't want my Son to learn that lesson.
YIS,
Ron Raab-Long
CC, Troop 903
Dover, Delaware
PS: Send her my way. We can always use someone who wants to help the boys.
