Hi all,
I received the following from Charlie Thorpe, who is in the midst of an
excellent series on LNT...

I think that the paucity of attacks speaks for itself-- I realize you were
probably equating the attractiveness (to dogs/bears) of used bandages and
tampons with, say, that of a piece of raw meat or other food-equivalents. I am
concerned, however, that people can and do make the leap from used supplies to
in-use supplies too easily.

Certainly didn't feel you meant to be misogynist in your post, and will be
happy to say so at Scouts-L. Mea maxima culpa. I intended only, however
clumsily, to point out how your information can be MISused by those who might
be so inclined!
Love the series, though. Scouting has come a long way from huge blackened
campfire sites, trenches around tents, and big latrine pits!
