How wonderful to have gotten and continue to get so much enjoyment from a
way of life! My son just graduated to Webelos this week. He started as a
Tiger and his leader was willing, but not very good. We were lucky if we
had one meeting a month and most of the time the kids would drift into her
son's bedroom and play Nintendo.

About halfway through their Wolf year, my husband asked if I would mind if
HE took over the den. I told him "Whatever YOU want to do is fine, but
don't expect me to do much, I don't have time!" As it turned out, the
leader had to back out because of health problems with her son. Of course
WE took over the den and now, in addition to OUR being Webelos Leaders for a
den of 11, I'M the new Cubmaster!!

I LOVE IT!! I think we've done very well as leaders, in fact our den gave
us a gift certificate to a local steak house as a token of appreciation.
I've gotten lots and lots of ideas and tips from the internet and continue
to search for new stuff. I only hope I can do as good a job as Cubmaster as
I believe I do as Cub Scout Leader. And I'm with you, I might just take out
more than I put in too! If not, it's awfully close.
