Folks,

Speaking only for myself, I have decided that

1. When I am in uniform I am an ambassador for the entire scouting movement.

(In other words any bad behavior on my part gives scouting a black eye.)

I think most everyone would agree with that.

2. I feel that a scouter should uphold the highest moral standards.
(Somewhat vague, I know.)
Probably a majority of scouters would agree with that.

3. I feel that alcohol is a drug. I feel that I should not drink alcohol
in uniform. I really feel pretty strong about this one but I respect
other opinions. (Many of you would disagree.)

4. Now to strike fear into the heart of Mike Walton. Caffeine is a
drug. I don't drink coffee in uniform either unless it is decaf.
(Most of you would think me certifiable by now.)
