I have spoken with the people at Troopmaster (Sam & Linda Evans) about this
very issue. They have been in contact with OA National about it also.
Apparently, the fine delineation of the camping requirement is even less clear
than in the camping merit badge. They said OA National told them the OA
camping requirement was "based" on the camping mb requirement, that no more
than 6 days (5 now, I understand as of the latest election change) may be
long-term/summer camping. Also, no cabin camping may be used.
We just used the OA eligibility for our elections and found it to be accurate.
The change from 6 to 5 days summer camp did not affect any of our candidates,
but our summer camp is 6 days anyway. The balance can only be from short-term
camping, no "carryovers" of unused summer camp.
