Why is the SPL still in a patrol? The SPL should be in front,
in charge of the troop, at all times.
I think that SOP is that the SPL, ASPL, Quartermaster, and Scribe
are not part of a patrol. At campouts/activities they are "guests"
of the various patrols, just like the adult leadership. They have
enough to do in fulfilling their duties; they should not have
patrol-level assignments also.
