If you want to see the "flag break" done, it is seen in the early part ot the
movie "Persuit of Honor".
By the way this is a great movie demonstrating ethical decision-making,
leadership, teamwork, loyalty, bravery, (some of the other points of the law
are seen from a negative viewpoint). MIght be a good one to show at a JLT.
I didn't know Dick Sullivan was a Navy guy. Before I was in the Army, I was a
Marine from the Naval Academy who had grown up in the Navy. My dad was at
Pearl Harbor (mom too). After WW II he spent most of the rest of his career
serving in various levels of command in the destroyer force. Last sea duty
tour was on the USS Lake Champlain, a carrier which was involved in the early
pickups in the space program.
Dick, Must tell you I miss TAC - even Camp Freez-em. Give my regards to
all the guys and gals. Was the annual Conference at Garmisch again? What a
place to be involved in Scouting.
