In some areas, an adult who knows of or suspects drug use or dealing is
required by law to report it or be considered an accomplice. I don't
know if that's true in DFW. Unless you know for an absolute fact,
without checking, that it is not, perhaps she should get the benefit of
the doubt.
On the positive side, that Scout now knows his mother trusts his word
implicitly and the other Scout's father knows how far he's willing to go
to get attention.
