Hi Marie,

Being a Digester (a Day or 2 late, and Dues Short) [(:-}}, =

hopefully several of the Scout-L Pack Leaders or =

PowWow Trainers have already jumped in with helpful =

private ideas prior to my On-List attempt.

Any Road
--------
Register some more Leaders including that young man
named Steve and you will meet BSA's requirements =

and make everyone happier. It would be nice if once =

and awhile these new registered leaders went to a =

PowWow or looked at the BSA books and literature.
Their son's books aren't a bad starting place.

Potentially set up a 1 hour training session for
a crash course in Working with Cub Scouts.

If you can't tell them don't worry many of us have =

learned the adult side of cub and boy scouting =

On-the-Job, and Under Fire.

In parallel to all Roads you should work FIRST
on registering other leaders to give your Pack
Outings some official BSA depth as well as =

alleviating your poor PCC's distress. Your PCC
works hard and takes things seriously.

Low Road
--------
Ignore the situation and Plan for the Future.
Make sure that you always have 2 or 3 leaders
lined up per Den or 8-10 boys. Your current =

difficulty might Just seem to go away; although, =

twisting of heart strings to obtain Volunteer =

Adult Time and help adults work together will =

usually hang on into Infinity or at least
until you graciously pass the PCC Baton.

Mid Road -1 (Lack of All Inputs)
-----------
Have yourself as PCC, one or two other DL's
including at least one gent sit and meet with
your Webelos-I Ornery Eagle. One of these people
should be either supportive of him or neutral.
Keep it low key and find out WHY?? this happened.
Focus on Why and What he thinks the Pack should
have or should be doing different.

(It sounds like based upon past difficulties =

(he might feel like an Odd Man Out

(See If you can make him the Odd Man Back-In

Mid Road -2 (You are 100% confident of malice)
-----------
Call up your DE and find who in your Council
should talk to this *Eagle* DenLeader. Ideally
the UC(Unit) or the DC(District Commissioner)
are the candidates yet sometimes based upon
people skills or scouting experience you might =

have to utilize other Council folks. Your DE
might even be the right person so be a bit
open ended when you ask assistance. Some DE's,
due to their style of workload management, might =

initially chase you away yet persist.

Higher Road
-----------
Write Up and have approved by your PackC or =

Pull Out Your Pack's Rules about Outings. =

Are you following them in terms of Adult Leadership? =

How about Pre Outing Adult Coordination and Communication?
Once you all agree on the rules and have them in writing
inform everyone including your Ornery Eagle and the CoR.

Then See if you can stick to your rules for one outing
and then re-evaluate them. Then try another outing.
Rules are OK yet Practice is where Performance Occurs.

Throughout it would be nice to keep your DE or DC =

informed, if they wish, so they can add their good =

ideas, practical wisdoms, and feel good if your troop =

starts smiling a lot.

YiS, IMHO, and may we each attempt to live the SO,SL,SS,SM
