BP Award questions

Hi Jason,

For me this all depends on how the Patrol Time
slot in your troop meeting is utilized. Every
troop is unique with some troops using the troop =

meeting as Hang-Out Time, others using it to
the fullest, others doing everything in between
so it is difficult to make blanket statements.

The SM-Core could and should be using the Patrol Time =

for Troop related activities each meeting, in which =

case the Patrol would have to meet separately to do =

at least the planning required for the BP Award =

activities. Even in this ideal troop a super patrol =

might be able to move swiftly to free up two meeting =

a month or come to the meeting place 30 minutes early.
On the other side if the Troop was a Hang-Out Troop =

A Patrol, due to its scouts or parents, like a tail
wagging a dog, could have obvious meetings to complete =

all that BP Award stuff including calling a PLC.

In the best case I read the intent as the Patrol =

for the Patrol's Identity, Pride, and Members
AND =

The Patrol as a strong part of the Troop.
