Hi NH-SM Kevin,
A series of Difficult recommendations
Part of them are written like a Script =
I would use or give to an RKO Radio Program.
SM KevinW:
Talk to the Boy
Talk to the Parents afterwards
(Do each individually =
(Tune in: To Hidden Whys as well as Real Whys
(Support and Don't diminish either Whys
What would make you Want Scouting?
What would make him Want Scouting?
(Are reasonable Brain Storming =
( Sales Recovery Questions
SM KevinW
Bring up, concerns and ideas from either side,
at the next Troop Committee Meeting.
((Tell each side (boy, parents) that you will
(( bring it up to the Troop Committee and the
(( parents are welcome to attend when you do.
PL =
Have the PL keep inviting him to participate
"WANT TO" "GOT TO" Leave NOW
-----------------------------
(Honor It, Whether told to you or the PL)
SM-KevinW
(To Boy and Parents as Individuals)
OK Let me tell you how we do this
1> Based upon your wishes I will bring it up =
at the next Troop Committee Meeting that =
you wish to Stop Scouting and we will then
put you on our "InActive" List.
2> I will advise your current PL to occassionally
invite you to a meeting or an Outing. Please
be nice to him since he is doing something
difficult to do that I have asked him as a
young new leader to do.
3> Since (you or we) have paid for your subscription
to Boys Life you will continue to receive it.
I hope you enjoy the stories, and yarns.
4> Before our Next ReChartering I or someone in
the Troop will call both you and your Parents
to see if you still want to Stop Scouting.
5> The Troop Committee will then remove your name,
advise our Chartering Organization and submit
our Charter to BSA without your name.
6> If at any time you wish to restart scouting
please come visit us or your Council office
to find a place you would enjoy scouting.
YiS, IMHO, and may we each attempt to live the SO,SL,SS,SM
