Should the troop pursue him in some fashion?<<
the best way is to continue to have a good program that interests
him.........but to write letters and actively *pursue* him to convince
him to stay is not how we've ever got any boy to stay....but do it
quietly.....make sure he knows what is happening......send him your Troop
newsletter every month so he knows what the plans are.......
Or should we wish him well and let him know we are there if he ever wants
to come back?<<..........I wouldn't force him to tell you he wants to
quit by confronting him........keep him informed aas above and welcomer
him every time he does appear......but also acknowledge that the time he
has spent in Scouting is already valuable to him whether he realizes it
or not!
Bev
