"Stars and Bars" - let this thread die

The facts of 18th and 19th century economics and sociology help to explain
history of slavery in the our country, yet the comparison of a human being to
a farm tractor (logical as it may be) is disgusting (not a flame directed to
the author of that remark).
I would again suggest that we have already said too much about this subject
and offended many for one reason or another. Please, please, lets let this
subject die without further comment out of consideration of those who will be
offended by each additional post. There are too many worthy Scout issues to
be discussed to be perpetuating discussion of the "Stars and Bars" and
slavery.
