This talk about jail visits making an impression means I gotta tell....
One time in my youth, I got involved in a property damage incident. It was
a small town. The cops found out who did it. I suspect they called my
parents (mom used to date the police chief in high school). The cops showed
up, hauled us off to jail (with my parents' open cooperation), and stuck us
in a cell for about 15 minutes before the release and the lecture.
Now, THAT made an impression.
