1998 Requirements Changes

Bruce E. Cobern (bec@PIPELINE.COM)
Wed, 4 Feb 1998 10:32:17 -0500

Well, I may regret this, but here goes.

As I have done for the past couple of years, I have compiled an analysis
of all of the changes in requirements in the 1998 Requirements Book. This
file, when printed out, is 13 pages long.

I have supplied the file to several people for posting on the web.

One of these, Michael Kauffmann, has already put the information up on his
meritbadge.com site. The page can be accessed at
http://www.meritbadge.com/bsa/adv/98chngs.htm. Also on that site are my
analyses of the 95-97 Changes and the 96-97 Changes.

I have also supplied the information to Bill Nelson who will be arranging
for it to appear on the US Scouting Service Project site in the near
future. Prior years' information is there as well. Their front door is
http://www.usscouts.org and the information can be accessed either through
the search engine or through the Scouting Compass accessible from their
front door. I do not know whether this file or the prior files are
available through the USSSP ftp server. Are they Bill?

I have also asked Bill to forward the file to Jon Eidson for adding to the
Scouts-L archives.

Now the part that I may regret. The file is available in both MSWord97
and .txt formats. If you would like a copy of the file please email me at
bec@pipeline.com. DO NOT SEND REQUESTS THROUGH THE LIST BECAUSE I WILL
NOT RESPOND TO THEM.

Once again it is a pleasure to make this information available to the
broader Scouting community.
