Even if you had been able to make the cloth patch stick to the leather
with Super Glue, that form of glue is far too brittle for use on
flexible objects, and the patch would have popped free the first time
the leather was flexed.
Try using a 100% silicon bathtub or exterior caulk or some other
silicon-based glue. I like to use this kind of glue because once it
dries it hardly ever comes unglued, and it always remains flexible.
However, its "vehicle" (the petro-chemical that makes the glue
spreadable until it evaporates away) may melt some synthetic fibers. I
always test it on a small, harmless spot before I use it.
Although I haven't done it yet, I have always planned to attach my
Buffalo Patrol patch to my WB name tag with a dab of left-over silicon
caulk. I don't think it will ruin the patrol emblem, and I know that it
won't ruin the leather.
