I am not necessarily against girls in 11-18 y.o. BSA Scouting,
but B-P's history with Guiding is a lot more complicated than your
note suggests. A lot happened after the Crystal Palace Rally.
May I reference Tim Jeal's book on B-P for more info?
He has a chapter entitled "What about the Girls", which
goes into a lot of detail on this era.
