Ideas for "Lock-Ins"

Call the local bowling alleys and see what they will offer. Try
a Roller Rink. A couple hours in a pool someplace. Bingo for
prizes is fun. Tour some places that might be open like a
power plant, police station, or maybe a TV or Radio station.
Some kind of tournament works good; say checkers or ping
pong, or maybe have them bring a few games like Monopoly or
Trivia Pursuit.
Build a Jeapardy like game on Scout topics. Subjects might
be: The OA, Cubbing, Webelos, Camping, First Aid, and the like
would make for a fun time.
Keep a buffet line going with pop corn, finger foods, snacks,
and drinks. Vote on which movie to watch and have a large
selection. Our troop chose "Happy Gilmore" as the movie to
watch which I as an adult found totally a BAD film.
An Olympic compitition might work for a couple of hours
with weights, sit-ups, base ball throw, and other such events.
Give awards in your events and maybe a trophie for overall
winner for the night. Set aside a quiet room for those that
finally crash and plan not to have them go home before noon.
We have done all these ideas and they all worked pretty good
as long as you mix them up a little bit. Keep the night moving
and have fun.
