Re: A Game with a Purpose? Help needed!

Apologies if this has already been posted in response, but the 1947 Handbook for
Scoutmasters, written by William (good ol' Green Bar Bill) Hillcourt, says,
on page 12:
Yes, to a boy Scouting is a game--a wonderful game, full of play and full
of laughter, keeping him busy, keeping him happy. Scouting is "learning by
doing"
things that are enjoyable--exciting things!
That's the strength of Scouting! A boy becomes a Scout for the sheer joy
there is in it.
To you and me Scouting is a game, also--but it is more than a game of fun.
To us, it is a game with a purpose--the purpose of helping boys to become
men by training them for citizenship."
("Scouting is a game" in the first line an "a game with a purpose" in the
third paragraph are in boldface, but I don't know how to accomplish that in
this reply.)
On page 13 there are four photos, with the headline "SCOUTING IS A GAME
WITH A PURPOSE."
Hope this helps.
YiS,
