Since I am frequently on record as promoting what you posted, Tom, needless
to say I agree with everything except the above. The Advancement Guidelines
state that the uniform for the BoR should be "as correct as possible" yet
there are numerous interpretations of the statement. To me "as correct as
possible" means absolutely correct - I think you will agree. The excuse
"it's at the cleaners" won't wash here (pun intended) since, for about 26
years, I have offered to furnish any missing parts for the District Eagle
BoR. Since no mention is made of "properly fitting'" one XXL size fits all -
except the 300 right guard on the football team! 8-)
If the "as correct as possible" requirement is violated or relaxed, except
perhaps for handicapped persons, is the BoR Chair's signature approving the
Eagle application valid?
If you have been here awhile you will note that differing opinions are
mostly based on:
1. I'll bet you don't do that.
2. That's unreasonable.
3. Well, I haven't read the book but here's what I think.......
4. It oughta read.....
5. Our lifestyle is a little more casual.....
6. Here's something else that's wrong.......
7. and anything else that avoids the specific issue.......
"nit-picking" - a term frequently used to describe those who are interested
in accuracy beyond that of "close enough for government work" by those who
