In January's " Scouting " magazine there is an interview with Derek
Twine, the UK's Executive Commissioner. Regarding the Internet he
says :
" ... there is a gap and we have to look at bridging it, and that means
by direct information - the Internet, the SCOUTBASE website - information
directly to the kids themselves. That's the modern information flow, and
the other part is the human flow. That's Headquarter's getting out,
showing they care and helping situations. "
UK Headquarters is really starting to embrace information technology -
that includes publishing more material on disk and on the web.
