Frank,
In the Guide to Safe Scouting
...http://www.usscouts.scouter.com/g2ssIII.html#RTFToC21
It states the specific camping guidelines set out by BSA. Our Cub parents
consisted of several avid campers who want to camp and do as a "Family"
anyway. Our pack has had several "Family Camping" nights. It was made
clear that it was not a BSA activity and that it was also not covered by
BSA insurance or sanctioned. It was the same as if they went camping with
any of their other friends who camped. Everyone understands and we've yet
to have the first problem. Every cub had to be accompanied by a parent.
We were told by several people in council that this was the way to handle
it.
