Jeopardy...

Thanks to everyone for their responses. I made up a really neat board of
16 questions. Headings were Politicians, The Flag, The National Anthem,
and Citizenship. I also had 4-6 BONUS questions that were the _harder_
ones in the book.

I had sent out 20 question study guides to the boys the week before along
with a Weekly Newsletter I do, as we didn't have Scouts on Thanksgiving.

Well, for the first time in 3+ years my boys let me down. Only 2 boys
really studied. My son and one other. NONE but my son did it in
Jeopardy fashion...which is how I made up the study guide. One boy told
me flatly when he entered that he had everything done for the citizenship
pin but when he would choose a category he didn't know the answers. I
think for the first time, he and his mother left upset with me. I told
them all we were going to be doing Citizen again in January and that I
hope they'll put a little more effort into it this time.

They _loved_ playing the game and getting the $$ amounts. They just
didn't study. <sigh>

Sometimes this can be so frustrating. For all intents and purposes I
should award Citizen to my son, as he knows all the information, but
again, as in the past, I won't to avoid any raised eyebrows.

Again, thanks for all the input and for having a place to just SIGH when
things are off.

Alicia
