Re: Advancement Chair and Board of Reviews

Thank you everyone who responded to my question about boards of review. I
have two more questions that are more specific:
1. Should a Scout have to request a SMC or BOR more than once? I.e., if
there is not time tonight, should it be up to the Scout to approach the SM or
AC again, or should the SM and AC schedule a time for the boy making the
request? I have seen Scouts request a SMC or a BOR's as many as three to
four times before it was "convenient." This doesn't seem right to me.
2. If advancement matters are handled during troop meetings, shouldn't the
AC make it a point to be at the weekly meetings or else have an assistant
there? Our AC has been missing for the last three weeks.
Thanks for your help.
