1953 Handbook for PL

James Wellborn wrote about finding the 1953 handbook for Patrol Leaders at
a flea market. I agree James, the contents of those old books does bring
back a lot of memories....like making cookkits out of coffee cans...making
charcoal stoves out of coffee cans...making telephones out of coffee cans...
hmmmm...is there a through line here? Many of us "mature" scouts can
take a peek at these older books and wistfully drift off into the memories
of our youth. Many of my fondest and most vivid memories involve scouting.
Does make you think though....and sit up straight in your chair to be re-
minded that WE'RE in the memory-making business right now!
