Accurate Pinewood Derby Racing Method

Stan Pope (StanDCmr@AOL.COM)

Another tool for your Pinewood Derby Racing arsenal...

In collaboration with Dr. Cory Young, the accuracy attainable with
Perfect-N racing charts has been improved by the addition of a subclass:
"Complementary Perfect-N charts."

Definitions:
Perfect-N: Full round-robin with lane equity.

Complementary Perfect-N: Double round-robin
with lane equity and 100% match-up reversal.

Then... add options to optimize several aspects...

It's at a new page...
http://members.aol.com/standcmr/genframe.html
It produces charts for 2, 3, ... 10 lane tracks...
It requires a browser with frames and JavaScript capability,
e.g. Internet Explorer or Netscape

Complementary-Perfect-N Charts are the most accurate racing scheme that I
know of. (And I have evaluated a bunch of 'em.) All the effects of lane
differences are removed from the results, with this exception: If your track
isn't good enough to differentiate two cars, they will tie! With
optimization selected, nearly all the effects of graphite "run-in" and
"shake-out" are eliminated.

C-P-N charts are applicable to Tie-Breaking, to "Finals", to den-size group
racing (or more), and other situations in which you seriously want to present
the trophies that are really deserved.
