Time off work

I, too, wrestled with the problem of using up a large chunk (one week) of
vacation time to go to Cub Trainer Wood Badge. Being a single parent, alot
of my vacation goes for 'kid's stay at home sick days'.

Stan Pope, who has been one of my mentors via this group, had a letter that
he has used at his council to help people get time off from work. I fine
tuned it, sent it to my district exec and had him send it back to the two
managers at work.

I work for a large company. Did this work? NO!, but, I'm a firm believer
in "you don't know if you haven't tried". If the worse the company will
tell you is, no, I'd give it a shot.

yis,
