Re: Need Some Advice (Life to Eagle)

Mr. Peterson:
As others will no doubt respond, if the boys attained First Class in
Boy Scouts, they can continue their rank advancement through the
Exploring Program. Their advisor could look it up in the "Explorer
Leader Handbook" (publication #34637) since that would be preferable to
taking as gospel any unverified information from the Internet.
What I find curious is that they would feel the need to complete Eagle
requirements through the troop rather than the post. Maybe the post's
program is not as solid as it should be or perhaps the post leadership
hasn't attended training or both? (It's a circular kind of thing - but
that's just my opinion.)
If anyone bothers to read up on meeting Boy Scout advancement
requirements through the Exploring Program, note how the requirements
effectively prevent female explorers from earning Merit Badges or Boy
Scout Ranks.
