Yes, in Scotland the kilt can be worn with a uniform shirt. If you
have a look at
http://www.mcintyre.demon.co.uk/pstp.htm
you will see some photographs of Scouts from Ayrshire in the south
west of Scotland visiting London including
Annual Parliamentary Tea Party at the Houses of Parliament.
The kilt is not normally worn at weekly meeting. In Edinburgh we have
a Scout Pipe Band. I am sure that there is a photo of them on the web
somewhere. I'll have a look for it. In the mean time have a look at
http://www.tenthfinchley.demon.co.uk/docs/pipe.htm
If you want to know anything else about Scouting in Scotland feel
free to ask.

Maybe one of our colleagues in the UK would care to address the issue
of wearing the Kilt as part of the Scout uniform. I personally am
curious as to if the uniform shirt is worn with the Kilt in Scotland.
While I realize that uniform guidelines for BSA and in the UK are
not the same, I am none the less curious about this matter.
