J Michael Floyd wrote requesting information on the AT through Georgia. I
can't help with that specific question other than to suggest the AT web
sight and perhaps a call to the Atlanta Constitution newspaper. Remember a
few years (or year) ago when they co-sponsored a reporter doing the whole
trail (jezzz, that was actually someone's WORK for a while....).
But along those lines, can anyone suggest the or a best trail guide for it?
As an Explorer from 67-69, we did different parts of the trail using a
guide that pretty well showed site to site with valuable info all in a
handy dandy size. There are several trail guides listed at various places,
many of which are simply backpacking annecdots.
And lastly, J Michael, your personal e-mail address didn't seem to come
through to me... our PCs must be gearing up for next week-end. Something
about Gators and Bulldawgs and early November just seem to butt heads any
which way they can.
