I am pleased to announce the following new pages on the Pine Tree Web:

E. E. Reynolds, B-P: The Story of His Life. A major source
of biographical information about B-P, it is one of several works by E.
E. Reynolds documenting the life of the Chief Scout and the early days of
the Scout Movement. Includes Chapters I-VIII and XII. Remaining chapters
are under construction.

"The 13th at Balaclava." The 13th Light Dragoons in the
Charge of the Light Brigade before the Russian guns at the Battle of
Balaclava during the Crimean War. From the Regimental History, C. R. B.
Barrett, History of the XIII Hussars, 1911.

Baden-Powell's Memories of India, 1915. B-P shares his
adventures while on service in India based on his diaries and his letters
to his mother. In addition to B-P's sketches and drawings, it is
illustrated with a number of full-color prints of B-P's watercolor
paintings of Indian scenes. Excerpts feature B-P's experiences in the
aftermath of the Afghan War and the withdrawal from Kandahar.

Excerpts from The Piper of Pax: The Life Story of Sir Robert
Baden-Powell by Eileen K. Wade, B-P's Confidential Secretary and
administrative assistant. Chapters 10-12 cover the period of B-P's
service in South Africa during the South African War and include unique
selections from B-P's diaries. Additional chapters are under
construction.

The move to our new virtual domain at www.pinetreeweb.com has been
completed. All pages should be up and running with links from the old
domain at rampages.onramp.net/~lporans forwarding to the Pine Tree Web.
Please let me know if you experience any difficulties. With over 400
pages and 1500 graphics, some files are sure to have been missed.

As always, your comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Yours in Scouting,

Lew Orans
